Roy Green has been gardening for over 50 years. Roy was raised on a farm and was taught at an early age the importance of growing your own fresh produce. He begun farming alongside his mother and father at the age of five. His parents farmed over 10 acres of land. His parents not only used the produce to feed the family, but they also sold the produce at a local farmers market. Looking to share his love for fresh produce and continue the family tradition, Roy started selling his produce at the local farmers markets. It was this interaction with the customers that showed him the desires of customers to grow their own produce. And so grew Roy’s idea for his own business. Roy successfully completed the South Carolina Master Gardener Program through the Clemson Cooperative Extension Service. He shares a passion for growing vegetables. He would like to spread that passion to others and educate everyone on the advantages of growing your own fresh produce.
